Paws & Relax Mobile Spa with malu

FAQs

Why does mobile grooming cost more than salon grooming?

Mobile grooming offers a personalized, one-on-one experience tailored to your pet’s comfort. At Paws & Relax With Malu LLC, we eliminate the stress of car rides and noisy salons by bringing a fully equipped grooming spa directly to your home. One of the main reasons mobile grooming costs more is that we groom fewer pets daily due to the time required for travel between appointments. Our pricing reflects the convenience, exclusive attention, and premium care we provide, which includes biodegradable products, an electric-powered van, and unrushed appointments that prioritize your pet’s well-being.

If your pet is matted, we’ll assess their coat and discuss the safest and most humane option. Some knots can be gently detangled at an additional cost depending on how time-consuming it is. If that isn’t an option, then we resort to shaving down to prevent injury to your pet. Removing mats can take extra time and care, which may result in an increased service price. We always prioritize your pet’s comfort and skin health above all.

We groom with care and patience, special-needs pets, anxious pets, or older pets. We operate one-on-one in every service to ensure your pet is not rushed, allowing them to go at their own pace. We strive to make them loved and safe. If you have specific behavioral issues with your pet, please inform us beforehand, and we will tailor the experience to suit their needs.

Our pricing is based on several factors: your pet’s size, coat condition, grooming history, temperament, and any special needs or time requirements. Starting prices are listed on each service page, and we’re happy to provide an estimate once we know more about your pet. Every appointment is customized with quality and care in mind.

It depends on the service and your pet’s needs. Most sessions last between 1 and 2 hours, but the duration may be shorter or longer, depending on the coat type, behavior, and service selected. We don’t rush, we focus on quality over quantity to give your pet the best possible experience.

For safety, insurance, and focus, we kindly ask that pet parents not remain inside the van during grooming. Our calm, enclosed space allows pets to settle in without distractions or emotional stress. You’re welcome to check in with us during the process if needed!

Most pets benefit from grooming every 4 to 6 weeks, although this frequency may vary depending on the breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Regular grooming helps maintain healthy skin, reduces shedding, prevents matting, and keeps your pet looking and feeling their best. We’re happy to recommend a grooming schedule tailored to your pet’s needs.
